There's a call for an extra light to be added to the Five Lamps to reflect the county's six in a row All-Ireland title.
The iconic landmark at a junction of five streets in the North Strand area was first erected in the 19th Century.
Former Lord Mayor Christy Burke has proposed a motion for the structure to celebrate the county's GAA win.
Councillor Burke says the idea is just to highlight the team's success:
"I am one of those public representative who respects protective structure and to alter it would not be an encouraging exercise."
"But I thought we would give the Dubs the opportunity of me proposing it anyhow, but sure we will go ahead with the motion, and we'll get the reply, and the view of the other members of the committee."
