Paul Mescal has been spotted in character for the upcoming Gladiator movie for the first time.
In photos obtained by MailOnline, the Kildare actor is seen bloody and battered in the classic Roman Empire attire as he’s pictured between takes on set.

The film, which follows the story of Lucilla’s son Lucius Verus from the 2000 film, is currently being shot in East Sussex.
According to MailOnline, filming on the sequel had wrapped in Morocco but these photos were taken during recent reshoots.
Gladiator II is set for release later this year on the 22nd of November 2024.
