A fire safety issue uncovered at student housing opposite UCD in Dublin, has forced the complex to be shut down.
Residents have been moved out, while the 210-bed building is expected to be closed for the full academic year to allow for remedial works.
It's owned by student housing company Aparto and was previously the Montrose Hotel.
Those living in the block have been offered alternative accommodation in the city centre.
The fire safety problem was uncovered during refurbishment works to the outside of the building.
In a statement the company said;
"This proactive decision taken by aparto management, is due to a fire safety issue which emerged as a result of its own commissioned inspection and follow up assessment of the building, which was conducted in conjunction with ongoing renovation works."
