Homeowners at an apartment complex in the west of the city are facing a bill of up to €50,000 each after fire safety deficiencies were discovered.
Issues at the Verdemont Complex in Blanchardstown came to light following a fire 2 years ago in which 100 people had to leave their homes.
According to the Irish Examiner, problems with firestopping and compartmentalisation were found at the property, which contained 274 apartments and duplexes.
The total cost to residents is expected to be between €12m and €14m.
24/7 safety and security precautions by Dublin Fire Brigade are also set to cost residents a total of between €120,000 and €200,000.
The complex was built by McInerney Construction in 2001 - the firm went out of business in 2011.
The cost to homeowners is so far set to be the most costly found since issues at Priory Hall were found in 2011.
A previous fire at the complex in 2002 resulted in two fatalities.
