Today is the final day for feedback on plans to lower speed limits across Dublin city.
It will see almost all roads, including a number of major arterial routes, limited to 30km/h as part of new Covid-19 traffic laws.
The city council says it's to protect the larger numbers of walkers, cyclists and vulnerable road users moving around the capital.
Cutting speeds will make the capital calmer, safer and more people-friendly according to those in favour of the move.
Green party councillor Michael Pidgeon says it's part of the city council's response to the pandemic;
"This is a change in the city's bye-laws so it is permanent unless we decide to change it in the future but covid has provided yet another reason why this sort of thing should be happening. We are seeing a lot more people sticking to the immediate neighbourhoods around where they live, even people who live in the city centre."
