"The fight I want is Tyson Fury" - Anthony Joshua

World heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua says fellow title holder Tyson Fury is on his "hit list".

Joshua recovered his IBF, WBO, and IBO belts by defeating Andy Ruiz Junior in Saudi Arabia in December and was due to defend against Kubrat Pulev before that Tottenham Hotspur stadium clash was postponed by the pandemic.

WBC strap holder and lineal world champ Fury faces a rematch with Deontay Wilder later this year ahead of a potential all-British unification fight with Joshua.

“Undoubtedly the fight I want is Tyson Fury – he is holding something that I want, he’s on my hit list," Joshua told The Sun.

“He says things about me all the time, there is so much back and forth, but Tyson Fury is only relevant the day me and him sign a contract to fight.

“He is a great person and he has done great things in boxing, but until the day we fight that is where it ends and I don’t have anything else to say about him. I really want the belt he holds and that is where I stand.

“In my own mind I had mentally written off most of this year but, if I was to fight this year, it would probably be November or December.

“It’s difficult at the moment knowing how you cover the costs, and whether you could charge people in the circumstances for pay per view.”
