A steering group has been appointed to examine a range of options to address transport and mobility challenges in the Phoenix Park.
Some of the gates to the park were closed during lockdown, to improve cycling and pedestrian facilities.
Reaction was mixed, with some locals welcoming a reduction in cars, while others criticised congestion in surrounding areas.
Review
The gates were re-opened some weeks later, and the Office of Public Works said the situation would be kept under review.
Today the Minister for the Office of Public Works, Patrick O’Donovan, established a steering group to oversee the process of developing new transport and mobility plans for the park, which will report back in the autumn.
