Former Debenhams workers have held a sit-in at the retailer's Henry Street store in Dublin.
They say the occupation began at 7 o'clock this morning and that six people were arrested around an hour later.
Gardaí say they were detained for trespassing under the Public Order Act and that an act of Criminal Damage is also being investigated.
Those involved in the occupation say they gained access through a window that had been previously broken by someone else.
The six were held at Store Street Garda Station but have since been released pending further investigations.
A simultaneous sit-in is taking place in the Patrick Street store in Cork city as workers demand a better redundancy deal after the retailer shut it's Irish operations.

Those involved have described a settlement offer they received last week as an "insult" and are continuing their campaign.
The workers say they want four weeks redundancy per year of service.
Meanwhile the Debenhams liquidator has withdrawn the one million euro proposal agreed with unions last week.
KPMG says the actions of certain people overnight made it clear the offer wasn't accepetable and says it also won't be negotiating any further settlement.
