Drugs worth over €8 million - and €1 million in cash - have been seized in a major operation in Dublin.
A man in his 50s has been arrested, in what's being described as a major blow for organised crime.
Gardaí have seized cocaine, cannabis, ketamine, LSD and MDMA after searching a home under warrant in The Ward in Dublin 11 yesterday evening.
The man, who was arrested at the scene, has been taken to a Dublin Garda station for questioning.
Cash, vehicles and designer goods were also seized in a number of follow-up searches across the Dublin Metropolitan Region
The searches were carried out under Operation Tara, which aims to disrupt, dismantle, and prosecute drug trafficking networks.
The Assistant Garda Commissioner for the Dublin Metropolitan Region, Angela Willis, says seizures on this scale cause "significant disruption" to organised crime, adding that Gardaí continue to target those who destroy lives through their activities.
The drugs seized have now been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
