People from Dublin feel more fulfilled with their lives than people who live outside the city, according to new research.
KBC Bank has compared conventional indicators used to track the health of the nation's economy with consumer sentiment.
It found that the more money people have, the better they feel about their own circumstances.
Chief economist with KBC Austin Hughes says by-and-large, men and women have the same levels of satisfaction:
"Older people feel more fulfilled about what they're doing than younger people, we don't see any great differences between men and women"
He went on to say that generally people in Dublin are some what more satisfied about their current circumstances than people in the rest of Ireland.
