The capital is set to experience continued warm weather until at least Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Yesterday a high of 25 degrees was recorded in County Roscommon. Met Eireann says many of its stations in the East have not seen rain in at least 14 days.
Holidaymakers in mainland Spain and the Canary Islands are facing opposite conditions with Storm Oscar due to hit this week. The brunt of the low pressure is due to hit on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to the risk of large waves and localized flooding. Weather forecasters say the remnants of Storm Oscar may head towards Ireland towards the end of this week.
