After being closed for ten years, Dublin's Peace Garden has re-opened to the public.
The sunken park, opposite Christ Church Cathedral, has been redesigned to make it more accessible.
Words from W.B.Yeats and Patrick Kavanagh have also been carved into the garden's walls and footpaths.
The Peace Garden was originally developed as part of the Dublin Millennium celebrations in 1988.
In the original design became problematic because those with limited mobility weren't able to easily get in.
The garden was closed to the public for almost 10 years, because of loitering and anti-social behaviour.
The park now also has a Flanders Field’s memorial which incorporates soil from Flanders as a memorial to the Irishmen who died and were injured in the First World War.
Dublin City Councillor Michael Watters described the park as "a place of retreat and tranquillity".
"It offers visitors and locals alike an opportunity to come into a tranquil space, take time out from everyday stresses and relax", he said.
