The Luke Kelly statue in Dublin city has been vandalised for the fourth time.
Red paint has been splashed across the bust of the Dubliners' singer on Guild Street.
It is one of two statues that were unveiled in tribute to the late folk musician in Dublin last year.
City councillor Anthony Flynn posted a picture of the latest damage to the statue online.
He says those who are responsible should be ashamed of themselves.
This is really unbelievable, you’d think that people would have some decency, and some respect more importantly.
This isn’t people from a Sheriff Street that are doing this. Should be completely ashamed of yourselves. #LukeKelly pic.twitter.com/7RBjL1FTOA

Councillor Flynn, who is from the area, believes locals aren't responsible;
"This isn’t people from Sheriff Street that are doing this."
Meanwhile councillor Christy Burke says the statue may have to be moved. He fears attacks on the bust could escalate;
"That small amount of unacceptable vandalism could end up being a bigger attack of vandalism, you know that the next move could be that it's rammed by a car or knocked off its plinth so why wait for that to happen."
However he said it will be up to the family of Luke Kelly to decide whether the statue should be moved.
