Dublin Zoo says the animals are delighted to see visitors returning.
It reopened this morning after an 11 week closure that cost the zoo almost 4 million euro in revenue.
It's reopened with a limited capacity and strict social distancing guidelines.
Only 500 people are allowed on site at any given time and visitors must pre-book to gain entry.
The on-site restaurants, shops and enclosed animal viewing spaces will remain closed.
One thousand people are expected through the gates on the first day.
