A 47-year-old Dublin woman has been sent forward for trial accused of identifying one of the two boys who murdered Ana Kriègel.

Leeanda Farrelly, of Kilmartin Avenue, Tallaght, is accused of sharing a photo of Boy A online after he was found guilty for his role in her murder.

On May 14th 2018, one of two 13 year old boys lured Ana Kriègel to a derelict farmhouse in Lucan, Co Dublin, where his friend beat her to death.

They were both convicted of murder following a high-profile trial in 2019, during which they were referred to as Boy A and Boy B.

The identities of child offenders are protected forever, and up until last Friday, the media was also prohibited from naming child victims in homicide cases.

Leeanda Farrelly is accused of sharing a photo of Boy A on Facebook after he was convicted and the DPP has consented to her being tried before a judge and jury.

Her case was one of ten prosecutions pursued for similar offences after the verdicts were reached.

Ms Farrelly is due to appear before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in July.
