Dublin has been ranked as the city with the third most predictable weather in Europe, according to new research.
The study by Uswitch.com looked at the weather patterns of 35 European cities.
Valetta in Malta and Nicosia in Cyprus were deemed more predictable.
It found it was easier to predict frosty days and cloud cover in Dublin.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says some elements of the study would definitely hold true:
"Cloudy days is an interesting one," he says. "Trying to predict cloud cover is not that easy."
"Generally we don't have a lot of changeable weather.
"It would be interesting to see the west of Ireland compared to this," he added, "because the east coast is by far more predictable."
