Dublin tenants have the greatest risk of homelessness in the country, with the most notices to quit issued by landlords last year.
According to the Residential Tenancies Board figures for 2022, 1,839 notices were given to renters in the county.
The second highest number issued was in Co. Cork, at 500, then followed by Galway with 286.
Nationally, 4,741 notices were given to tenants.
Opposition parties are calling on the government to reverse its decision, to end the evictions ban on the 31st March.
Sinn Féin has called for an immediate reinstatement of the ban, to ensure more people don't become homeless.
The party's housing spokesperson, Dublin Mid-West TD Eoin Ó Broin, says the situation is seriously worrying.
"The scale of potential homelessness coming down the line, if the government allows the ban on evictions to expire, is much, much greater than anybody anticipated.
In light of these figures, what government needs to do is reverse its decision, extend the ban on evictions until the end of the year, and put in place an emergency package of measures."
Social Democrat TD, Dublin Bay North's Cian O'Callaghan, says the Government has to increase the housing supply.
"If the government brings in measures that advantage investors, against people that are trying to buy homes, that will only push up the prices of homes even more, and make the situation overall worse. The bulk of measures has to be about increasing supply overall."
