Members of Dublin Fire Brigade helped to safely deliver two babies over night.
The crew got separate calls for assistance overnight and in the early hours of this morning.
The first was in the Clonee area where the fire appliance from the station, with dual trained firefighter/paramedics, responded with a paramedic crew from the National Ambulance Service at around 3am.
At around 6.30am, the ambulance crew from the station assisted in a delivery in Blanchardstown, before transporting mum and baby to a maternity hospital.
Blanchardstown’s ‘A’ watch had a very eventful night shift, assisting in the safe birth of two baby girls.

Both babies and their mothers were taken safely to hospital, and all are doing well today.
Dublin Fire Brigade says: "While pre-hospital deliveries are not unusual for our crews, we recommend that parents make solid plans to make their way to a maternity hospital in good time and in the comfort of a car. A delivery suite is the safest place to be should the birth become complicated.
"We of course understand that the plans of the expectant baby may be different, and our Emergency Services Controllers can help from the moment you dial 999 or 112."
