Two crews of firefighters and a district officer have been monitoring the wildland fire in Howth since this morning.
Dublin Fire Brigade has spent weeks battling several fires in the area.
Today they are damping down hotspots and flareups, and Dublin Fire Brigade says the situation will continue to be monitored and resources deployed where and when they are needed.

In anticipation of increased usage of natural amenities over the weekend, DFB is asking that people be fire aware and become familiar with how to prevent wildfires.
