A Dublin Councillor is calling for a public order unit to be reintroduced, to clamp down on anti-social behaviour in the city.
A similar task force was established last March, at the beginning of the pandemic, but was wound down by August.
Following recent incidents in Howth and Malahide, Cllr Daithí De Róiste says local amenities should be kept free of intimidation.

"If the pandemic has shown us one things, it's the importance of our local parks and beaches."
Cllr De Róiste says "big gangs of teenagers drinking, on bikes, on scramblers" deter people from using their local environment.
"We shouldn't have to put up with as Dubliners," he said.
