It seems like a very long time since we sat in a dark room with strangers and a large popcorn ready to watch a brand new movie!
Thanks to the pandemic, cinemas the world over have been closed for almost a year now.
Time Out recently decided to honor the picture houses that are quietly awaiting our return.
They pulled together a list of the 50 most beautiful cinemas in the world, and one of Dublin's own spots came in at number 16.

The Stella Cinema in Rathmines beat cinemas in Hollywood, LA and New York to bag the top 20 slot.
Time Out called out the Press Up-owned venue for its Gatsby-esque decor and cocktail offerings.

For those who have yet to experience The Stella, it is a movie-going experience like no other.
With waiter service, a full food and drinks menu, and actual beds instead of seats, the tickets are worth every penny!
