A new Dublin Bikes app is to be launched next month for the first time.
From the 19th of January the 1,600 bikes which are dotted around the city centre will be sponsored by streaming service Now TV.
The new contract will coincide with the introduction of an app which will allow subscribers to release a bicycle anywhere in the city through their phone for the first time.

The three year sponsorship deal is worth just over €2.2m to the scheme which has been in operation since 2009.
