Dublin is now among the 50 most expensive cities in the world.
The city has ranked 41st in Mercer's 2024 cost-of-living city ranking.
It's 10 places above last year's ranking.
The index includes 226 locations across the world, and measures the comparative cost of more than 200 items in each location, including transport, food, clothing, household goods and entertainment.
Hong Kong retained the top spot in this year's ranking, followed by Singapore. Swiss cities Zurich, Geneva and Basel round out the top five most expensive cities.
Belfast comes in at number 87, and bar Dublin, no other Irish city appears in the ranking.
London, ranked at number 8 with New York at number 7.
Worldwide, the average price of a cup of coffee has risen by over 18 per cent since last year.
Dublin also ranked in an average position of having a high cost, but coming with a high quality of living compared with other cities worldwide.
