The details of a massive new Christmas Festival for Dublin have been announced.

Mistletown will run from the 5th to the 23rd of December at the historic Smithfield fruit and veg market.

The free event is being run in association with Dublin city council and will include a food village, craft market and vintage funfair.

There will also be live entertainment, a bar and a Santa Claus experience.

Organisers say the 6,000 square metre indoor space will allow for physical distancing and will be subject to the latest government and HSE guidelines.

Susie Melisson, Director at Artisan Events said;

"Never before has there been such an emphasis on socialising in a safe manner, and we have been working very hard behind the scenes over the past few months to ensure Mistletown can be run safely, with additional measures in place in line with the government guidelines.

The event will take place on the following dates in December:

  • Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th 10.00 to 22.00
  • Thursday 10th & Friday 11th 12.00 to 22.00
  • Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th 10.00 to 22.00
  • Wednesday 16th & Friday 18th 12.00 to 22.00
  • Saturday 19th – Tuesday 22nd 10.00 to 22.00
