An investigation has been launched by Deliveroo into an attack on one of it's riders in Dublin city.
It happened at around 11pm last Friday night in Temple Bar. The delivery rider was injured during the altercation with a group of people.
Deliveroo has condemned the attack and says it is offering support to the rider.
A spokesperson for the company said;
"We strongly condemn all forms of attacks or violence on riders. An attack on one rider is an attack on all of us."
They went on to say; "There is absolutely no place for this in our society, especially when riders are carrying out a vital role in their communities."
Gardaí are also investigating the assault.
