Deliveroo says it takes complaints over its cyclists very seriously. According to the Irish Times, Dublin City council has written to the food delivery company over what it calls the reckless behaviour of cyclists.
It's also written to Just Eat for the same reason.
It follows complaints made by councillor Mannix Flynn who asked the companies to be informed of the rules of the road and to remind cyclists not to use footpaths or cycle down one-way streets.
In a statement Deliveroo said: 'Deliveroo takes rider and road safety extremely seriously. We require that every rider meets our minimum safety standards and, as with all road users, obey local road safety laws at all times while working with us. We have a zero tolerance policy for any riders who do not meet these high standards and we work with the authorities to support road safety.'
