Darron Gibson lifted a weight off his shoulders as he unburdened himself to the world in the aftermath of Giovanni TrapattoniÂ’s departure.
The IrishmanÂ’s self imposed exile came about cos Gibson was deeply unhappy about not getting any gametime at all during Euro 2012 when Ireland lost all three group games.
And after taking advice from Trap over leaving Man U to get regular football the Everton midfielder was still overlooked for the national team.
Gibson also pinpointed an area where the new Irish manager might struggle with the players.
He believes the overriding legacy of TrapÂ’s regime will be the lack of confidence affecting the Boys in Green which means the new gaffer will be on the backfoot from the off.
