Croke Park is being enlisted to help with the shortage of accommodation for refugees.
Up to 140 Ukrainians are to be housed at GAA HQ from this weekend.
In a statement to 98fm, the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth said it "wishes to express its gratitude to the GAA" for making the Dublin stadium available.
It added that "full catering, 24/7 security and other facilities will be provided to those staying in Croke Park."
It'll be a short-term arrangement - just until January 18th - with GAA action resuming after Christmas.

It comes as the government appeals to Ukrainians who are currently in a place of safety to stay there.
It made the public appeal during the week, in an attempt to stem the flow of people seeking protection in Ireland, describing the current shortage of State accommodation as "severe".
According to official statistics, Ireland is accommodating over 73,490 people, including those fleeing the war in Ukraine and International Protection applicants, as of 5th January 2023.
This compares with 7,250 at the same time last year.
This figure includes over 54,390 Ukrainian people who have sought accommodation from the State, and over 19,100 International Protection applicants from other countries, currently in IPAS accommodation in Ireland.
