There’s been criticism across the political divide about a demonstration held outside Leo Varadkar’s home on Sunday.
A video has circulated of the incident on social media, where homophobic language can be heard.
Gardai attended the small protest outside the Tanaiste's home in Dublin 8 yesterday afternoon.
Fine Gael TD Neale Richmond says he doesn't believe this was a protest but a "vile act of intimidation by a very dangerous group of people and it's truly worrying".
"I think people need to reflect on their tone on social media that might have led to these sorts of things being deemed ok by some people", he added.
Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has also condemned the protest.

While Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald called it "outrageous and shameful".

Social Democrats TD for Dublin Gary Gannon described what happened as "nothing short of vile".
