Dublin City Council is offering parking for frontline workers at a reduced rate.
The council says it will make 400 spaces in city centre car parks available at a maximum cost of five euro per day.
It follows controversy after parking restrictions were due to be reintroduced outside hospitals.
The spaces will be available in the ILAC centre, Drury Street and Dawson Street car parks.
Dublin City Council says the non-enforcement of paid parking restrictions in respect of vehicles owned by frontline hospital staff parked in the vicinity of hospitals was always intended to be a temporary measure. With the resumption in economic activity, there has been a significant recovery in traffic volumes and in on-street parking demand. This has led to a situation where residents with parking permits living in the vicinity of major hospitals are having difficulty accessing on-street parking.
