Ireland's Six Nations game with Italy at the Aviva next month is being rescheduled.
Two other matches are also affected by health fears over the spread of the coronavirus.
It's now known to have killed 12 people in Northern Italy.
Philip Browne from the IRFU met with the Health Minister and other officials this afternoon.
The IRFU said it will "immediately begin to work with our Six Nations partners to look at the possibility of rescheduling the matches".
It said it would "hope to have an update on this in the coming days".
The group said it was "supportive of the Governments’ need to protect public health".
"The IRFU is happy to comply with this instruction", the statement added.
