Copper Face Jacks is up for sale.
Dublin's most popular club and its adjoining hotel, the Jackson Court, have been put on the market.
It's understood the venue comes with a price tag of more than €40 million.
Coppers, located on Harcourt Street, first opened its doors in 1996.
The company behind the club recorded pre-tax profits of €4 million in 2017.
However, Cathal Jackson, the founder, believes the time is right to retire:
"Over the past 23 years I have been totally committed to setting up and establishing Copper Face Jacks as one of the most enduring and successful entertainment venues in Ireland".
He said it is "now time to hand over the reins to new owners who have the energy" to take it to the next level.
Dermot Curtin of selling agent DC Curtin & Associates explained:
"As nothing remotely like this property and business has ever been offered to the market in recent times, there are no comparable sales to measure this opportunity against.
