Residents in Coolock say they will meet with a developer over plans to build two tower blocks in the village.
A protest was held last Friday over the proposal for 88 apartments, across two buildings, that would be five and six stories high.
Locals met last night and agreed to a meeting with the developer on the project that has been given the go ahead despite 238 formal objections.
They say the development is a monstrosity and will be out of place in the village. The plan has also been described as unsustainable while residents say it will mean the loss of the last green space in the area.
Padraig Kent is from the Coolock Residents Association;
"Of course people are happy to meet with him and hopefully that he'll have some sort of a constructive proposal, I mean obviously we don't want to be protesting outside his development.
I mean there was people in their 90s there last Friday with placards walking up and down outside."
