Northsiders in Dublin want to know what the future is for the Pro Cathedral.
There are plans to downgrade the status of St Mary's Pro Cathedral on Marlborough Street after 200 years.
Instead, St Andrew's Church on Westland Row on the southside will become the Capital's new Pro Cathedral.
The issue was raised at the Dublin Central Area Committee. The Vatican will ultimately make the decision but it's stoking a divide between northsiders and southsiders.
Cllr Nial Ring wants the Archbishop to meet with them and explain what's going on.
''We're getting no information on our side and apparently in St Andrews they're having meetings, consultations and tea and coffee and whatever you're having yourself. They are happy because they are going to get Cathedral status. It's discrimination.''
