There's concern joyriding in Dublin is back to levels that haven't been seen in decades.
Last week six teenagers were arrested after a car chase through Ballyfermot and Clondalkin.
They were later released from custody, pending a referral to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme.
Tallaght councillor Liam Sinclair says scramblers are the biggest issue, tearing up green spaces and intimidating locals.
He says joyriding has changed in recent years;
"When I was a child growing up in the 90's when we were talking about joyriders they were generally cars that were stolen then driven around and burnt out."
But he says that's changed;
"They call them company cars. A few lads will do a whip around, apparently, you can get a car for as little as 200 quid, so they'll buy that car and they'll just drive it around until, they'll fill up the tank, drive it around until the tank is empty and then abandon it somewhere."
