What an emotional moment!
Christina Applegate made a surprising appearance at last night’s Emmys as she continues her battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
The Anchorman actress was diagnosed with the condition 2 years ago and had said that she didn’t think she’d be able to go to another awards ceremony after last year's SAG Awards.
However, using a cane and Anthony Andrews for support, the superstar made her way onto the stage to present the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

And she wasn’t afraid to make jokes about her situation.
“Thank you so much. Oh my god, you're totally shaming me with disability by standing up. It's fine.” she joked as the audience gave her a standing ovation.
Before presenting the award to Ayo Edebiri for her role in The Bear, Christina spoke about her own career as a comedy actress.
“Some of you may know me as Kelly Bundy from Married With Children or Samantha from Samantha Who? or Jen Harding from Dead To Me. Very few of you probably know me from [my] debut - I'm going to cry, more than I've been crying, Baby Burt Grizzell on Days of Our Lives. It was my breakout role”

Since she was diagnosed with MS, Christina has had to take a big step back from acting.
In an interview with Vanity Fair last year, she spoke about the toll the disease has taken on her life.
"With the disease of MS, it’s never a good day," she said.
"There are just certain things that people take for granted in their lives that I took for granted. Going down the stairs, carrying things – you can’t do that anymore. It f*cking sucks." she added.
