St Patrick’s Athletic have further strengthened their squad with the addition of Chris Forrester.
The Dubliner has put pen to paper on a three year deal after being granted a release from his contract at Aberdeen on Tuesday.
Explaining their decision to allow the highly rated 26-year-old to leave the club, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes said:
"He’s had a lot to contend with in his personal life and as a club.
"We have an understanding of the situation and we wish him well with his future career."
Rhys McCabe has also joined the SSE Airtricity League side from Sligo Rovers.
"As a footballer you want to be loved and if I come back to Pats and deliver, I will be.”

Forrester say Pats was the only club he would consider joining in Ireland:
“I’m delighted to be back.
"With everything that’s gone in me life I was always going to be coming back to Pats, it’s a club that is very close to my heart.
“With me coming home, it gives me a fresh start, I'm around my family, I'm around my little girl, my friends.
“As a footballer you want to be loved and if I come back to Pats and deliver, I will be.”
Harry Kenny has built a squad with designs on securing European qualification in 2019.
Rhys McCabe has joined the SSE Airtricity League side from Sligo Rovers.
Dave Webster and Ciarán Kelly have been brought in to shore up defense, midfielders Georgie Poynton and Cian Coleman also moved to Richmond Park.
Forrester will come into a side that already includes Brandon Miele, Gary Shaw and Mikey Drennan.
The Saints managed to keep hold of Simon Madden, Jamie Lennon, Dean Clarke, Barry Murphy, and Darragh Markey for the coming season.
