Our kids are drinking less and smoking less.
ThatÂ’s according to a new report from the Health Promotion Research Centre who say children now are happier than they were in 1998 when they carried out their last report .
Over 40,000 kids were quizzed for this report in 2010 with 9 out of 10 of them saying theyÂ’re very happy with their lives.
Compared to 1998 when the first survey was taken, thereÂ’s been a drop in the number of kids starting to smoke and drink and even take drugs.
They’re exercising more, more of them are saying they’re in better health and 4 out of 5 of them are wearing seat belts in the car – doubling the previous number.
However, over half of them said they talk to their friends on the phone, by text or on the internet – that’s up from the same report in 1998.
