Celtic were taught a harsh European lesson at the San Siro.
AC Milan had been outplayed by the Bhoys in this Champions League tie before they took full advantage of two late defensive mistakes to run out 2-0 winners.
Firstly Celtic left back Emilio Izaguirre stuck out a leg and deflected a wayward effort from Cristian Zapata past his helpless keeper Fraser Forster.
And then Scott Brown gave away a needless free kick which was blasted in by Mario Balotelli.
Forster could only parry it back into the danger area and it was tapped home by Sulley Muntari.
Celtic had been the better team throughout and the closest they came to a goal was when Anthony Stokes hit the crossbar with a free kick.
Also in that group Barcelona hammered Ajax 4-0.
