Ed Sheeran made a young fan's dreams come true earlier this month by surprising her in hospital.
The singer visited nine-year-old Melody Driscoll who suffers from Rett Syndrome, a genetic neurological disorder, and has spent 80% of her life in hospital.

On Facebook, her parents wrote that while her condition is 'life limiting', Melody finds solace in music.
"Her life is a constant struggle however she has an escape through her love of music. She adores music, no matter what pain she is going through, her favourite singer – Ed Sheeran – can always get a smile from her."

Ed has been keeping a low profile since he ended his world tour late last year. However, it looks like we'll be hearing new music from him soon.
He's reportedly penned a song about his Irish granny for his new album, which is reportedly due to be released in January.
