Taylor Swift is not a popular person among stag and hen-goers in the UK and Ireland right now.
The European leg of her tour has caused chaos for those trying to organise their pre-wedding celebrations as they’re competing against Swifties for accommodation.
Last Night of Freedom, a UK company which organises stag and hen parties, has struggled to book any accommodation for the people who were unfortunate enough to book their weekend at the same time and place Taylor was performing.
One man, who had his heart set on celebrating in Edinburgh at the weekend, was gutted to realise all the hotels had been booked: “Taylor Swift has ruined my stag do.”

It’s a similar story for the other locations popular with stag and hen dos as the global superstar has upcoming concerts in Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Dublin.
Managing director of Last Night of Freedom Matt Manvir told The Daily Star: “Swifties are taking over every city Taylor is playing this summer - which is great news for her fans, but bad news for stag and hen dos.”
He added there have been “plenty” of disappointed partiers who have either had to postpone their stags, or give up on the idea of having it entirely
“Cities are either completely full up or prices have gotten so high they’re unaffordable.”
It’s not just the accommodation being snapped up that presents a problem for party-goers either. When Taylor comes to town, the place is taken over by Swift Mania with themed club nights, after-parties and wall-to-wall Taylor Swift songs playing wherever you go.
“The entire hospitality industry has gone into overdrive in these cities so bar crawls, activities and meals out are pretty much impossible to source,” Manvir said.
“Anyone who identifies as a Swiftie would be in heaven - but everyone else is unlikely to find what they’re looking for from a traditional stag or hen do.”
