A whole host of stars turned out last night to help Shane MacGowan celebrate his 60th birthday celebration at The National Concert Hall.
Bono, Johnny Depp, Imelda May, Glen Hansard, Nick Cave, and Sinead O’Connor were just some of the stars in attendance at the Dublin venue.
During the celebrations, President Michael D Higgins presented the singer with a lifetime achievement award.

The Irish President gave MacGowan a hug as he presented him with his lifetime award.
Tributes were also paid to Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan, as Bono sang part of‘ Linger, where he was also joined on stage by actor Johnny Depp.
