Saoirse Ronan chatted to Jimmy Fallon about mad nights out last night. The Brooklyn star spoke about pub lock-ins and how they compare to American game nights on The Tonight Show.
Saoirse told Jimmy about a particular night out she went on with her American friends in LA.
She joked: "By the end of the night, I was emotionally drained, tired - barely knew my own name."
Saoirse then explained the concept of a pub lock-in in Ireland.
"You could be at a wedding, a christening or a funeral and it would end in a song.
"I think it's more so the older generations will be talking to you and then they'll start to sing - and everyone stops what they're doing to watch this older person sing."
She added: "Every single gathering that we have at home - even if it's just a group of people that get together on a Sunday and have a drink - it will usually end with you drinking with the owner of the pub.
"The whole idea of the lock-in is that the gardai wouldn't know about it, but they're usually in there as well!"
