Proud mammy of the year!
Dearbhla, the mother of Paul Mescal, said that the premiere of her son’s movie in Dublin was “very emotional”.
The Irish premiere of Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated blockbuster Gladiator II, took place at the Lighthouse Cinema last Thursday, and Paul’s whole family were in attendance.

Speaking to Miriam O’Callaghan on RTÉ Radio 1 on Sunday, Dearbhla spoke about the experience of attending the huge event her son was at the centre of.
"It was actually quite incredible and I heard Paul talking about being overwhelmed but in a good way,” Dearbhla said.
"Sometimes things are just so huge for you that you just have to soak it all in, and we really, really did. To hear your child's name being shouted and the fabulous music of The Gladiator behind it was pretty awe inspiring,” she continued.
“I got very emotional, I have to say and he did as well as. It was one of those things where you're sharing this big moment, kind of like a wedding, but there's loads of cameras!", she added.
Gladiator II starring Paul Mescal is out in cinemas on November 15th.
