Paul's co-star Anjana Vasan won the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and the production as a whole won the award in the category 'Best Revival'.
Ever since the play opened in London a few weeks ago, Paul Mescal has received rave reviews for his performance in A Streetcar Named Desire.
"It's my favourite play and it’s wonderful to be able to share it with a wider audience," the Maynooth man said when the play moved to a bigger stage on the West End after its success in a smaller theatre.
Last month Paul made headlines when he was one of the many Irish actors up for an award at this year's Oscars and he's currently starring in a movie called God's Creatures, out in Irish cinemas now.
