Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher has been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles.
The actress, who played Princess Leia in the original Star Wars movie, suffered a heart attack on board a flight home from London to Los Angeles. She was in London filming with Graham Norton.
A statement from the LA Fire Department described the situation without directly naming Fisher. They said, "At 12.11pm the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to LAX International Airport, Gate 74, for a patient on an inbound flight in Cardiac Arrest".
"LAFD Firefighter Paramedics were standing by for the plane's arrival, provided Advanced Life Support and aggressively treated and transported the patient to a local hospital."
After arriving at the hospital, Fisher's brother told The AP that she was "out of emergency" and in a "stable condition".
