Niall Horan and Shawn Mendes are set to join forces. Shawn revealed the big news news earlier this week to The Daily Star.
“I’ll definitely be working with Niall very soon,” Shawn said.
“We are going into the studio as soon as we can get our diaries together and see what we come up with. I would love to do something for my next record as well as his – we will have to wait and see,” Shawn said.
The 18-year-old also admitted that he would love to work with One Direction after their hiatus.
“I’d also be up for working with them as well. I think they are all great. I just know Niall better and we have become closer than I have with the others."
Last month it was reported Niall has started working on his solo album. It's after the Mullingar native was spotted sneaking out of the Tileyard Studios in North London.
A source told the Daily Mail in July that the 1D star is busy working on his first solo release.
"Niall is the band's secret weapon – Modest and Syco believe he has what it takes to become a break out solo star.
A deal with Syco is going to be signed in the coming weeks and Niall is already back in the studio writing."
