Some sad news this morning.
Margaret Lake, AKA Mystic Meg, has died aged 80.
One of the world's most famous astrologers, she wrote daily horoscopes for The Sun for almost 23 years.
It was confirmed by publication this morning that she passed away in London following a short illness
They reported that she was admitted to hospital in Paddington last month after suffering from the flu and died in the early hours of the morning.
Her agent of 34 years, Dave Shapland, told the Sun, "Without any question, she was Britain's most famous astrologer by a million miles. Nobody came close to Meg."
"She even became part of the English language - if a politician, somebody from showbiz or ordinary people in the street are asked a tricky question, they will say: 'Who do you think I am, Mystic Meg?'"
We can speak on that! 98FM's Big Breakfast often do fortune-telling segments where Rebecca takes on the alias of 'Mystic Reb'. The woman was an icon!
Mystic Reb first became a household name when she started her phone-line horoscope readings in 1989.
She was also a feature on the National Lottery TV show in the 90s when she would appear on stage with her crystal ball to predict who would win the jackpot.
May she rest in peace ❤
