Madonna has caused outrage amongst her fellow environmentalist, after she took a private jet from London to Birmingham.
The 57 year old Greenpeace activist boarded the flight last Wednesday, that was only 45 mins faster than driving.
The queen of pop stunned airport staff, when she dropped £10,000 on the short flight.
It is estimated that her 12 seater jet contributed 2.907 tons of carbon emissions, compared to a car which would have produced 0.081 and cost around £22 in petrol.
Ironically the singer has released a song called 'Hey You', which was to highlight global warming.
Dave Powell from Friends Of The Earth said, “We want celebrities to turn their back on private planes and choose more sustainable forms of travel.”
