While speaking to E! News at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, Kate Winslet spoke out about the gender pay gap in Hollywood.
The actress addressed comments that she had previously made about the issue.
The remarks came after Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence had discovered that she was getting paid a whole let less then her American Hustle co-stars, and was not happy about it.
Winslet had said her comments were "misinterpreted", when she described the public discussion of peoples salaries as "vulgar."
"When you're talking about specifics of pay that is a line of questioning I really had a hard time with."
However The Dressmaker star stands by Lawrence, as she still feels there should be no wage gap between men and women in the industry.
"So my remarks were in response to that but only that. Of course we should be paid the same as the boys. We want to stand alongside them."
